#12 of 30: Practice Face

Filed under: art — Stace @ 5:09 pm

I think I’m about 4 days behind on this thing, and not likely to catch up soon.

I felt I needed more instruction on getting proper proportions, so I bought a book on drawing faces. The following was drawn purely as technical practice — like skating figures on the ice, it’s all about getting things in the right place, not about doing anything particularly artistic with it. So, no character, just a practice face.

She’s pretty enough, in an utterly conventional way. She kinda reminds me of the people from that old Twilight Zone episode, where everyone has been surgically altered to look the same.

In other news, had a great long weekend off / mini-vacation with the girls. It’s back to the grind now, though. Which is okay, cause I like my job! I just feel bad for the girls being stuck in day care all day. Speaking of which, I’m off to collect them now…
