It’s that time of year again! Time for bloggers across the web to come together for a bona-fide bonanza of connecting and sharing…time for One World One Heart 2011!

Welcome to all of you who are visiting my blog for the first time. You’ll find a lot of my art photos here, some creative journaling, and musings about writing and creativity in general. Be sure not to miss my year-long project, 365 Days and One Knight!

This year, I’m giving away a Cafe Press t-shirt featuring my original mythic firebird design.

Leave a comment for your chance to win by random drawing—be sure to include your email so that I can contact the winner!

(The winner can select size and style of shirt from the many available at Cafe Press.)

I participated in One World One Heart last year, and can’t wait to “ride the magic carpet” once again. It’s such a fun way to find new people to connect with online, discover new blogs for your reading pleasure, and to bring new readers to your own blog. For those of you not familiar with the worldwide blog event, there are two ways you can participate:

1) Visit blogs to win prizes! Every blog participating in the event is holding a giveaway—it might be handmade art, or a book, or some other little trinket. Visit Lisa Swifka’s blog, A Whimsical Bohemian, to view the list of participants (last year there were over 1,000 participating blogs!) and leave comments on posts for prizes you’d like to win.

2) Hold a giveaway! Starting today (January 31) you can post your own giveaway on your blog and Lisa will link to it from the main OWOH page. Try not to be overwhelmed by the blog traffic it generates!

Keep in mind that you don’t have to host a giveaway yourself in order to win prizes on participants blogs, so I encourage you to go visit as many blogs as you can, because you’ll never know what treasures you’ll discover.

One more thing: Lisa says this is the last year she’s going to host OWOH, so if you haven’t played along before, I encourage you to do so now, before it’s to late. Good luck!

EDITED February 17, 2011: This giveaway is now over, and the comments are closed. You can find the winner here.
